The central character in 'The Anniversary' is dear old Mum who keeps a

and ruthless exploitation of their weaknesses. But as the family is
unwillingly brought together to celebrate Mum's wedding anniversary
(regardless of deceased Dad), revolt is in the air. Middle son Terry
gathers the courage to tell mum he is emigrating with his family to
Canada and youngest son Tom breaks the news of his impending marriage.
Mum fights back with every weapon in her formidable
armoury..... but will her long ascendancy be broken at last?
